Backing boards come in any size. Mount board is used to provide support and protection for your artwork, either in a picture frame or as a standalone product in a show kit. We offer economy pressboard, standard matboard backing, archival quality backing, foam board (regular and acid-free) as well self-adhesive archival.
Economy backing board is fine for home use, but standard backing is thicker and provides more support. The larger your artwork, the more support you need. Foam board is much thicker than the economy backing and is the most popular for use in show kits.
Many of the frames purchased in local shops come with cardboard backing which will damage the artwork over time. For any original artwork we recommend an archival quality backing. Buy backing boards online by selecting your size and quantity below.

I’ve had several mats made with Matboard, and all were perfectly cut, great quality, and arrived quickly! The middle images in my photo are with white mats created by Matboard
Using the website was helpful because it asked for detailed measurements of the piece to be framed and the frame size. I would have ordered the wrong size if I did not go back and check the measurements. The mat boards I received were perfect and it is nice having all the same shade of white for all my photos.

I ordered three pre-cut mats in various sizes. Each was perfectly and precisely cut, which is critical, of course, but I was really impressed with the packaging! Each was carefully wrapped in brown paper and nested together inside a custom box.
I did not know there was a place online that would cut custom mats for picture frames. Found this place and am 100% satisfied with the quality of the product and work. Will use them again for future projects.

I have several pieces that I have been wanting to frame but needed them to be a bit nicer in the frame. My local go to just list their person who cuts their mats and I have been Loomis l looking for an alternative for a while. These look great and fit my pictures prefectly!

I ordered 3 8x10 with rounded corners. They came out beautiful and my pictures look beautiful.
Like many creative types I know, I tend to struggle with deadlines...I always make it out of the door before the house erupts in flames, but my heels can get pretty warm.
I have been ordering from Matboards and More for a number of years now. I believe each if not all of those orders required a rush charge. Every time they pulled through for me; on time and a good product. However this last time I was notified after it was shipped that it would be delayed by a day...after the "crisis" was averted, I notified them by email, asking for rebate of the charge...not 10 mins after sending it, they replied that it had been noted and my account had already been adjusted...they're good at what they do, and how they do it.
Love the personalized note and that I was able to get the exact size that I needed!

Matboards made it easy to create custom mats for vintage reproduction prints I was putting in burnished gold bamboo frames from Amazon. The matboard quality is excellent with a solid section of various colors to choose from. Love the reveal option. The sizing tools on the website are very easy to use-it made selecting the right size opening a breeze. My matboards arrived within 2 weeks and very carefully packaged.
